What different types of cable display clamps are available?
There are four basic types of cable display clamps. Clamps can be single or double-sided to hold one or two poster pockets. Both types come in small or large, with small clamps for poster holders or panels up to 4mm thick and large clamps suitable for panels or signs up to 8mm.
Do we need single or double sided clamps?
If you are installing a pair of cables to hold a single poster frame or vertical row of frames, then you should use single-sided clamps. If you are creating a display with two or more vertical rows of poster frames side by side, then double-side clamps can be used to attach two poster panels to a single cable, so that you can have 2 rows of panels supported by 3 cables for example. This can save money and time when creating larger displays.
How do you attach clamps to the cables and poster holders?
Clamps are attached to the cable using a screw that is tightened with an allen key. The clamps can be moved up and down the cable to set the desired height. The clamps also use allen key screws to attach the poster panels. To avoid damaging the poster pockets, be careful not to overtighten the clamps.
How are cable brackets attached to the wall/ceiling?
Our cable display fixtures are attached with a single screw, and a screw and matching rawlplug are provided. A simple bracket is screwed to the surface and then the fixture is screwed onto the bracket, giving a hidden attachment. Full installation instructions are provided with all our kits.
